Untamable is a for-profit One Piece fan zine featuring the respected, mysterious, and feared Emperor Red-Haired Shanks.The zine is set to be physical with a digital SFW shipping add-on as well!Preorders are planned to start in May 2023, though this is subject to change!Please see below for our FAQ.

Is this zine physical or digital?
The main zine will be physical.Will there be merch?
Yes!Is the zine for profit?
For profit!We aim to provide each and every contributor with their own zine bundle should we meet our sales/profit goal.Is there an age restriction on applications?
Everyone who applies needs to be 18+ at the time of application submission.Can I apply for more than one role?Yes! But you will only be considered for a max of two roles.How many pieces are we required to do if we get accepted?For writers, you are only required to do one piece in the range of 1.7-2.1k. words. If you would like to create an additional piece for the digital SFW shipping add-on, you may also do so!For artists, we expect one full-color completed piece per artist, though there will be room for other spot illustrations. Additionally, you are more than welcome to create an additional piece for the digital SFW shipping add-on!For merch artists, items will be delegated to each person. Ideally, each person will pick/be given a merch item to design (pins, stickers, a charm, etc.)How much will the zine cost?TBDIs romantic content/shipping allowed?Yes, but only in the digital SFW shipping add-on.All content in the physical zine will be platonic/familial.When will the zine be on sale?We are aiming to be ready for presales to begin in May of 2023!What is a pinch hitter?
If you are not initially accepted into the zine, you will be put on a list to be contacted and might be contacted to fill a spot if a contributor drops out!Do all pieces have to be Shanks-centric?Yes, we would like him to be the focus for each piece, but if you are a writer you may do so in the POV of a different character as long as they are still focused on Shanks!Will Film Red content be allowed in the zine
Absolutely! We would love to see Shanks interact with his beloved daughter Uta!What type of content will be allowed in the zine as an artist/writer
We are trying to stay as true to canon as possible! We will be allowing the level of violence/profanity as would be in the anime or manga. We won't be doing any AUs aside from ones that are within the world of One Piece. Since so little is known about Shanks at this point, writing pieces can explore his character in ways that make sense with what we know about him right now!
